processed. You can contact our data protection officer at the above postal address or by e-mail: datenschutz@zehnder-systems.de.

All contact details and further information on data protection can also be found on our website at https://core.life/de/datenschutz/de/datenschutz/.

In particular, we process the following categories of personal data such as master data (first name, last name, name affixes and nationality), contact data (private address, mobile/telephone number, e-mail address), application data (CV, photo, certificates) and, if applicable, log data in IT systems for an application received electronically.

Your personal data is generally collected directly from you as part of the application process. In addition, we may receive data from third parties (e.g. in the case of a job placement).

Your personal data submitted in the application process will be processed by us for the following purposes:
  • Internal processing of your application
  • Contact us using the contact details you have provided
  • Sharing your application data within Zehnder Group for internal purposes
  • Passing on your application data to personnel recruiting service providers commissioned by us
  • Processing for the purpose of expense reporting (reimbursement of expenses)
  • Inclusion in our applicant pool for longer-term storage of your application data (if you have consented to this).
The lawfulness (legal basis) for the processing of your data results from your consent (according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), from the implementation of pre-contractual measures or the establishment of an employment relationship (according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR in conjunction with § 26 para. 1 BDSG) or to protect the legitimate interests of PAUL Wärmerückgewinnung GmbH or CORE Energy Recovery Solutions GmbH or of third parties such as internal communication, defense against claims, investigation of criminal acts or other administrative purposes (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

If we want to process your personal data for a purpose not mentioned above, we will inform you in advance.

The data you provide us with, such as name, address, e-mail address, curriculum vitae, reference documents, if applicable documents from recruitment tests, etc., will be processed internally by us or passed on to companies of the Zehnder Group and to third parties (external service providers for personnel recruiting, applicant portals, travel and expense accounting, etc.) for the above-mentioned purposes.

Any further transfer of your personal data to third parties will only take place with your consent, unless there is a legal obligation to do so or to protect the rights, property and safety of CORE Production Germany GmbH or CORE Energy Recovery Solutions GmbH. A data transfer to a third country does not take place.

Your data will only be stored by us for as long as is necessary to process your application. Subsequently, in the event of an unsuccessful application, this data will be deleted after a waiting period of 6 months due to a legitimate interest of a duty to provide evidence in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), unless there are other legal obligations to continue storing the data. If you have consented to be included in our applicant pool, your application data will be deleted at the latest after revocation of your consent. In the event of a successful application, your personal data will be stored for as long as we are legally obliged to do so. This regularly results from legal obligations to provide proof and to retain data, which are regulated, among other things, in the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch) and the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung). The storage periods are then up to ten years. In addition, personal data may be retained for the period during which claims can be asserted against us (statutory limitation period of three or up to thirty years).

Insofar as external service providers come into contact with your personal data, we require mandatory legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

You have the right to information about your personal data stored by us at any time. We will also correct your data at your request if errors are found in the storage. At your request, we will of course also delete all of your personal data, provided that we do not have to comply with any statutory retention obligations. In such cases, we will restrict your data for further processing so that it can no longer be used. You also have a right to have the data you have provided us with returned to you in a structured, common and machine-readable format. Furthermore, you have the right to revoke the consent you have given at any time. In the event of a revocation of your consent for the storage of your data, we will also delete all data for which we are not subject to any statutory retention obligations.

Right to object on a case-by-case basis:

If we process your data to protect legitimate interests, you may object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

In all cases of information, correction, deletion, restriction or revocation, please contact the above contact address or our data protection officer.

If you believe that your data is not being processed by CORE Production Germany GmbH or CORE Energy Recovery Solutions GmbH in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

The provision of your data is necessary for the processing of your application and is voluntary on your part. Without this provision, however, we cannot process your application. In the event of a revocation, no subsequent processing of your personal data will take place.

Your data will not be used by our site for automated decision making or profiling.
